How can I get a job in the USA as a UK citizen?

• I am currently in the UK as a university student but seriously considering trying to get a job in the USA at an actual company so I can get real experience instead of studying. Ultimately I have entrepreneurial dreams and so I plan on continuing to build my internet company in my spare time, while working a job at an internet company in the US. I have my eyes set on one company, but how difficult do you think it would be for a UK student to get a full-time job at a New York company with no real experience in the internet industry on paper, etc? Any advice on going about this? What I wanted to do is try and get any job title whatsoever, but basically try to get just enough of a salary to survive - that's all. Just enough to live and promise that I will produce more output to the company than it would cost them to have me on board. Surely this would be a no-brainer for them. I'd never even consider a pay rise, I would just be there to survive and get experience in the industry I love. I am sure I would thrive. Anyway, I'd greatly appreciate any advice.

  Get a US company to sponsor you and get an "H" visa. Degree required. Buy a business worth at least $150K. Be an investor worth at least $1M. If you originally came from another country, you might be able to apply for a green card and wait five years. Microsoft has an office full of people like you, just across the Canadian border.
