What minor is better to have - Marketing or Managing?

What's the best tool for managing outbound marketing swag?

• We have a closet for of branded merchandise - from shirts to stress balls and everything in between.  As it grows, and as we use it more, managing the inventory becomes more difficult.  Ideally every "checked out" item would be associated with an account (in Salesforce) or marketing campaign (in Marketo).  Our current plan is to leverage Google Docs for this but I wanted to check with the all-knowing Quora community -- are there any free tools that are better suited to accomplish this?  How do others manage it?

  Use an ecommerce product that has inventory tracking built in. The team "buys" the swag. By the way, I made some software to better engage with tradeshow booth visitors.
