What is the best software for recording and playing back actions in a web browser?

  • I have a web app that features multiple "listings" pages - one for people, one for upcoming events, etc. I want to hook my browser up to a TV screen for promotional purposes, and essentially scroll though each listing page on repeat: so scroll down the page through all people listings; then navigate to the events page and scroll down through all the events; then back to the people page and scroll through all the people, etc., on repeat ad infinitum. What is the best software for this purpose? I've tried using Selenium but I need to manipulate a scroll bar within the page (not the browser scroll), which is proving difficult/impossible. EDIT: I'm not very technical so non-technical solutions would be especially helpful, though all answers are appreciated!

I think you should give iMacros (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/imacros-for-firefox/) a shot.  Works brilliantly and is pretty robust.
