Don't they like their own country? This is what I can quickly write down without thinking, might edit later. I really can't guarantee any answers though. ;) But we have a number of knowledgeable writers on most topics. By the way, I'd consider all of these "unasked on Quora". German does not have the biggest non-English Wikipedia with almost than 1.5 million articles for no reason (though this of course includes not only our Swiss and Austrian neighbours). A lot of the above has been touched in many, many discussions and comments all over the Germany topic. Rarely succinctly, and never easy to find though. This is but a fraction, there are hundreds of thousands of  possibilities, just like there are for questions about the US. Contrary to the Anon of the other question, I'd say that people are not interested or don't have enough knowledge to pose them, not that the questions and answers aren't interesting themselves. That shows in all those really highly upvoted answers that often grace the Germany topic, many of which have been complete surprise hits and the comments are typically "Oh, I didn't know that".
