What's the best way to relay my blog to others suffering from fractures?
-
I'm on the tail end of my recovery from a foot fracture I suffered three months ago. Over that time, I had a trying ordeal and I decided to blog about it, so others who suffer such an injury would know what to expect. That's my podiatrist when he was building a "soft cast" for my foot. It was the unknown that was the worst part of it. While I did find a lot of information online, I had to figure a lot of it out for myself, and things can be easier than they were when some of those pre-existing articles were written. All I want, when this is all said and done, is for some good to come out of this. I just finished the sixth and final blog entry. To help convey just how useful this could be to someone who just broke their foot or leg, here's the list of topics I cover: And if you care to read, here are the six articles: http://sdanzig.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-fractured-fifth.html http://sdanzig.blogspot.com/2013/09/i-used-to-dream-of-flying.html http://sdanzig.blogspot.com/2013/09/no-escaping-scalpel.html http://sdanzig.blogspot.com/2013/10/i-love-propofol.html http://sdanzig.blogspot.com/2013/11/hurdles-in-homestretch.html http://sdanzig.blogspot.com/2013/12/step-by-step-till-recovery.html My best idea is to find other message threads and forums online and advertise there. Does anyone have other routes I can take? I'm sure anyone who has a couple months of crutches to look forward to will appreciate the read.

Answer:
Well, I'm not sure if this is the best way, or a good one for that matter, but since you were looking for reviews to the doctors you saw, I guess you could leave reviews for them adding a reference to your blog. Other people in a similar situation will probably search for reviews of their doctors too. You can also search Google for related keywords and leave comments on the most relevant sites. Some of them have forums, other have blogs. You can ask to become a contributor. Alexa.com also lets you search the page ranks by keyword. Although you said money is probably not an option, Google AdWords are a great way to promote a site, and you choose how much to pay per click and the monthly budget. I have promoted sites with budgets of $5.00 a month! You'll be amazed how many visitors you get paying a few cents a click. They also send you free credits often. I advertised one website for a whole year for free with AdWords cards worth $100 they sent me.
