What would be a good topic to promote?

When you promote a question that has few topic followers, does it become visible to people following similar topics?

  • When promoted, does a question become visible to people following related/similar topics as well, especially if the question topics don't have a lot of followers compared with the number of people it's been promoted to?

    No, I believe promoted questions, answers or blog posts are not shown to related topic followers. Here is the February 2012 announcement, explaining how the works.  To my knowledge no other changes, other the number of credits needed to promote, have been made since. https://blog.quora.com/Promote-Content-With-Credits
