How much can you make with a master's degree in electrical engineering?

Which masters degree should I do?

  • I'm in Business Intelligence. I'm bored of it. It's been two years. I wake up everyday, go to work. Occasionally, something interesting comes up. But it doesn't make me feel alive. Not most of the time anyway. I thought about doing a Masters in Engineering Management. I was writing the Statement of Purpose, and then it struck me - I don't have a bloody purpose in doing this. Except to leave my current job and move to a new place. I've decided to stop lying to myself. Technical jobs just aren't for me. I'm not stupid. I do have a degree in Electrical Engineering, but these jobs just don't SPEAK to me. Let's say I wanna join one of those Future Leaders Programs/Management Trainee Programs/whatever they're called in an FMCG company like Unilever or P&G or Nestle. What masters degree would be useful? The Nestle International Program states "Other essentials include a recent University degree (Master's level) ideally in Economics or Business Administration". I couldn't find similar details on the P&G and the Unilever sites. How about a masters degree in supply chain management?

  • Answer:

Thanks for A2A.First, let me make you aware that there is always going to be a phase in which whatever you are doing will feel meaning less and you will not have any desire to do it.Second, Supply Chain Management is good choice considering your focus on FMCG companies. Supply Chain is their back bone and they are always looking out for great Supply Chain Leaders. However, do understand that you get your Supply Chain Degree from Best of the Institutes.I also had took a quick glance on the Future Leaders Programs of Unilever that you talked about in your question and they are looking for bachelor's degree and Master's is not a requirement. However, I will suggest you to go with Master's as it will open a wide range of opportunities for you and not limited to FMCG.
