How Am I Going To Study Abroad To Canada?

I'm going to school in Canada this coming September on a study visa. I'm not sure who to consult with but I want to get a part time job there. Will potential employers ask for proof of citizenship or can I get a part time job with my study visa?

    You actually can get a job in Canada with just a study visa. However there are guidelines to what kind of job qualifies. For example with a study visa you can get a job that is offered from the school you are in, so you could get a job in the school's library or cafeteria. Also if there is a job that is a part of your program (which some programs have), then that would also qualify as a job you could do with just a study visa. There are options out there! But getting a work visa would be necessary if there is a specific job you are wanting outside of the job guildelines for the study visa.

As a student you can work up to 20hrs per week.You can work on campus with just your study permit (example: teacher assistant, exam invigilator, front desk receptionist).
