How old do you have to be to get paid on associated content?

Can you get paid by publishers of RSS content to drive traffic to their site?

  • I'm building an app and I was considering adding Google adsense to my site to get some revenues. But Google Ads don't seem nice, and are likely to spoil the look and feel. But I plan on displaying some RSS feeds which would obviously redirect users to the publishers site. I'm wondering if there is a way to get paid by the publisher of the RSS feed, to drive traffic to his site? Are there any ad networks that offer "sponsored" feeds - which means the website that displayed the content would get paid for clicks or impressions of the RSS content.

  • Answer:

I'm not sure if this directly answers your question, but there are many companies that have monetization widgets and similar items to website publishers. Basically: You have a blog, and at the end of each post there is a widget that suggests related articles and posts on other websites. For every click and/or impression that takes your traffic to the other site, you get paid. One big example is http://www.outbrain.com/There are many companies like this. A Google search on the topic will reveal many more. Since you mentioned an app, you can monetize it via a mobile platform such as MassiveImpact: http://massiveimpact.com/publishers/program/ Good luck!
