How will pursuing a career in finance in India be different from USA?

  • India is an emerging market and per se there are not many products being traded in the market. Indians are also skeptical about investing in markets and prefer to invest in gold and real estate. So, I believe pursuing a career in finance will be less rewarding both in terms of salary and satisfaction. I want to hear from finance professionals to make suitable choice.

    I am not a finance expert so don't completely rely on this but consider it. You said right its an emerging market, a big one. True Indians prefer to invest in gold and real estate, probably the biggest too but there is lot of room for investing in markets and also startups many of which appear to be rising in India. It is very easy to be based in India and do financial investments in all markets and I think it is rewarding too. I know many people who invest in stocks in Indian exchanges and some of them have gained quite a lot. 2 infact, just operate on that. So, its a big thing and something worth trying!
