  • I have a post scheduled to publish next week and want to generate a link to cross-promote it, but there doesn't seem to be a permalink for the post.

    Use the"custom post URL" in the edit page to know which URL the post will have.

The only method I know of is to publish the draft as a private post, then go to "Short URL" in the edit page which will give you a working link. Then you'd have to set the private post to public (choose "published" in the post dropdown menu) at your scheduled time.

You can construct your own URL. (This works on Tumblr dashboard as of this writing): Click Queue to view scheduled articles Click Edit on the desired post Note the unique number in the URL e.g.  [tumblr] /edit/87749834477 Make a new url using that number, and substituting "post" for "edit" [ tumblr ] /post/87749834477 Do not add a trailing slash or words_from_the_post_title
