What will happen to Junglee (junglee.com) now that Amazon has launched its own Indian website (amazon.in)?

    Yeah of course, the disclaimer first. "the postings on this site are my own and don’t necessarily represent Amazon’s position" So, my feeling is, junglee and amazon.in have two different visions. While junglee would allow customers to buy 'anything' 'anywhere' online or not, amazon would be like a shopping destination that customers trust to buy online.The end goal would always be to have an awesome customer experience be it through junglee or through amazon website itself. While junglee would give them an awesome selection with a lot of varieties, amazon would strive to improve the shopping experience itself.

Junglee will remain to help amazon gsin insights into product pricing and ecom analytics. Its amazing why some large ecom players are on junglee when it's feeding amazon all of the above.

I see Junglee as maintaining a strong hold in the price comparison and product discovery space as a separate entity. For the products that Amazon India will offer they will obviously highlight Amazon as the first pick on those. Additionally it will be validation that Amazon has the lowest price. Also it is worth noticing that Junglee already does not include Flipkart, Myntra and a few others in their search comparison, a way to keep away the fierce competition from affecting Amazon India in its infancy?
