How can I hide liked and shared content from the Facebook news feed?
-
I need a way to hide liked and shared content from my friends in the facebook newsfeed because they like and share stuff like "Like/Share in 3 seconds if you remember this" and "Repost this or else you will die". That kind of stuff gives me a headache. I need a way to hide that kind of stuff on the facebook website or at least a chrome & firefox extension that hides liked and shared content

You can easily do this numerous ways through your newsfeed.... SOURCE: https://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=218728138156311&ref_query=hide+like Filter by friend lists Click one of your lists on the left side of your home page to see stories just from the people on that list. Manage the updates you're subscribed to Hover over the Friends button at the top of a friend's profile (timeline) and select Show in News Feed to turn their updates on or off. You can also selectSettings to control how many and what kinds of stories you see from them. Hide a person or a type of story (ex: quizzes or games) Hover over the top-right menu of a story, click the drop-down menu and choose what you'd like to hide: Hide story will remove the story you're looking at Hide all by and Unsubscribe from will remove the story you're looking at, as well as all future stories from a person, Page, group, event or app Report story or spam will remove the story you're looking at and help keep your news feed clear of stories like it in the future Unhide stories from a person, Page, group, event or app From your home page, hover over news feed in the left sidebar menu. Click the pencil icon that appears to the left. A list of people, apps, Pages, and groups youâve hidden or unsubscribed from will appear in a pop-up box. Click the X next to each one you'd like to remove from this list. Removing someone or something from your list of hidden stories means those stories can appear in your news feed again. Click Save.

You can actually make likes without your friends seeing them and at the same time avoid missing out updates on your news feed. 1.Make sure you are logged in to your account. 2.Find the âlikesâ page on your timeline and tap edit. 3.Facebook will not let you select likes that you want to hide one by one but you can hide the entire category. Find one of the categories that you donât use. Any will do. Change the setting to âonly meâ. 4.Move your embarrassing likes by adding it to the category you donât use even if they donât fit. 5.Make sure you tap the âdone editingâ icon. source: http://viralkick.com/blog/hide-likes-facebook/
