How can I get into Berkeley University?

How do I get into the graduate statistics programme offered by the university of chicago, harvard, Stanford, berkeley as an Indian student?

• I am a student from india with a bachelors in electrical engineering. Cgpa of 7.4. GRE Score of 317. Quants-154 and verbal-163. One year of work experience in an OES company. Will the GRE Score influence my admission the most? How much does the SOP matter? Also, do I need to give the subjective mathematics gre? My areas of interest lie in applied math and statistics. Which of the above universities will be attainable for my profile?

Your research background, the specific courses that you're thinking of applying to and any other information that you'd like to give out. Since you have only mentioned your GRE score, I'd like to say that 317 is very very average and GRE scores do not matter as much as other aspects of your career and your research focus and undergrad scores. It's just a minimum cut-off score although a very high GRE Score (335+) will definitely get you noticed.
