How To Watch Asian Channels On Ipad?

Is there a way to legally watch UK or European channels in Australia or overseas?

• Is it legal to broadcast live TV shows from overseas channels and watch it in another country? is there copywrite issues around that ? is something like Roku , Slingbox or internet set-top boxes illegal ? and Why do some countries (like UK or Germany) do not allow to watch their local channels which are broadcasted on their own internet websites from overseas IP addresses ? Is it still illegal to watch live tv channels on the internet even though they are FTA and broadcasted through Satellites? looking for answers around the legal/licensing etc of those topics. all answers appreciated

  Wow, I'm a cheap date - Ivan goes for 345 credits - I guess that's because he's still at a law firm, where rates are high for a partner #:o).  Anyway, the simple answer is that content owners tend to divide up their rights on a country by country and sometimes regional basis so a TV provider may only get rights to broadcast in a given region and to allow their users to in turn watch in a given region (or in some cases give rights to users in that region to watch the content even outside of their home region on a temporary basis...which permits users to place shift so long as it's not permanent place shifting).  Rebroadcasting/redistribution would, in most cases, be beyond the rights you're granted and be found to be copyright infringement (though as I noted, some content owners may be OK with temporary place shifting - but not with you setting up a slingbox at your friends place so  you can continue to watch shows with him from 3000 miles away.This answer is not a substitute for professional legal advice....
