Which field in computer science has the largest scope for new patents?
-
I am a recent computer science grad and I would like to invent something new and patent it. I am not a master in any of CS fields. I would like to chose one and learn it quickly and file a patent. Which field has this scope in Computer Science?
-
Answer:
It seems you have put the cart before the horse here. Instead of starting with the goal of patenting an invention and then looking for a field where getting a patent will be easiest, perhaps you should look for an unsolved problem in a field that interests you and see if you can come up with an innovative solution. Once you have done that, then you can consider the question of whether or not it is patentable or worthwhile patenting.
