What comes to your mind when you think of Las Vegas?

I was asked to answer this question and I'm having a little difficulty because I live here. "The goal of this question is to discover how the world views this city." The world is pretty much going to have the view like which are all strip related. My view will skew the results because I no longer live in the world, I live in the city. I hope I'm making sense. I'm suffering from insomnia and have been awake entirely too long. Marcus, you owe me ;-) Here goes. Anytime I have friends or family that insinuate that they want to visit, I always mention two things. 1. Be careful this place is dangerous. Pickpockets, scam artists, drunk visitors that want to fight and bad drivers. And that's just in the lobby of your hotel. (forgive me I'm tired) 2. Do at least one thing that takes you away from the strip. I know time is limited but try to schedule an outing for half a day. You can always gamble and party at night. What can you do? Hiking, skydiving, visit Hoover Dam or go have lunch with Native Americans in the Grand Canyon. This place has a lot more to offer than The Strip.
