How far is jaisalmer from jodhpur? pls suggest hotel in jaisalmer. thanks very much

Jodhpur to Jaisalmer is 300 km approx 5 hrs journey and good hotel you can check for Priya Hotel or Heritage inn http://www.samdesertnights.weebly.com

I remember taking a night bus between the 2 cities. It took us the whole night and got there early in the morning. Just one thing, if you are thinking of booking a bed, make sure you bring some kind of cloth or bed sheet, or at the very least, a pillow case. I do not care much about the quality of the beds, but the bus company we had did not supply any sheets and I doubt the mattress/pillow combo had ever been cleaned at all. As far as hotels go, you'll find plenty in the fort and around it. Make sure you take one around, because of the water issue you might have read about. The fort's hotels are sucking the place dry and destroying the foundations. Unfortunately, I do not have any specific place to recommend  I'm sure Hostel World can help you on that one.

Not sure you are still need this information but maybe my experience will be usefull for someone else.
