What are the best companies to hire for internet advertising?

How realistic is it for a young entrepreneur to become sucessful if the company is not an internet company?

• I got this formula from a book, the fastlane millionaire. Very bad title, but the book really made sense to me. That does not say much, because I am not an entrepreneur, I am not an investor and this question is to make clear if I understand something I have been thinking correctly. Need: You need to solve a problem Entry: as entry barriers to any business road fall, or lessen, the effectiveness of that road declines while competition in that field subsequently strengthens. Control: Be the boss of your company Scale: To achieve scale, magnitude or reach must increase Wealth = (Net Profit) + (Asset Value) Net Profit = (Units Sold) X (Unit Profit) Time: Your business detached from your time (passive income) Looking at this, what choices does a young person with no start up capital have other then going the internet route? Why? Let's have a look: Need Problems can be solved anywhere. No problem in that department Entry This might be a reason not to go the internet route? Everybody can code. Big companies kick off all the one-person build apps? Expecting to me the next bill gates is a long shot? On the other hand, the internet has a very low entry cost compared to renting a building, having inventary etc Control If you want to build a business that does not deals with the internet, you need money to scale. You might need to give up equity in order to get that money? Scale Here comes the biggest problem. How can a starter scale his or her company when it's not on the internet? Internet has the possibility to scale globally. Most people that start outside of the internet will be locally, maybe get national.. But it will end there, most of the time they end up locally (think about all those nice restaurants in town, and I don't mean this sarcasticly, they are nice!). Time That same restaurant owner, how hard does he need to work and how big are the chances that he will be able to hire enough people to sit back and enjoy himself? How long will that take? I think time is not the big issue, although, because of all the trouble you already have with entry, control and scale.. it's going to be really hard. Remember, in my example the person is young and with little to no capital. IMPORTANT MESSAGE :-) See all the questions? In no way I am trying to insult people that have a restaurant, or own a shop. I respect that. I am just talking about this formula, and how it is almost pushing you towards the internet. Important 2 :-) Successful would not mean, being an millionaire, let's say succesfull is: Being able to help a lot of people with a problem they have, with a scale larger then locally.   The only successful formula for being an entrepreneur is to write a book about the formula needed to be a successful entrepreneur! I don't know the answer to your question about whether you can be successful as an entrepreneur if you don't start an internet business, but maybe you should ask the guy who started 5 Hour Energy, or the woman who started Spanx, or the guy who started Under Armour or the thousands of other entrepreneurs who didn't start Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, etc but who made a fortune and/or made the world a better place by doing something that would not be viewed as cool in SV or NYC.
