What is easiest way to forward past emails to another account?

  • I want to forward a lot of my past emails to another email account.  Both accounts are gmail accounts.  Forwarding individual emails will be too tiring. What is the easiest / quickest way to do this ?

    You can easily import all of your old emails to your new, Gmail account with these simple steps. First, login to your old account and click on Settings -> Forwarding and POP/IMAP. In the POP Download section choose to enable POP for all mail and then save these changes. Now there's a new option in the POP Download section to Enable POP for all mail.To import every piece of mail into your new account from the previous one, select this option and save these changes. Log out of your old account and then log in to your new Gmail account. Click Settings -> Accounts. In the Get mail from other accounts section, click on Add another mail account. Enter your username and password in the dialog box. Choose to label the incoming messages and other options available as per wish. After sometime, Gmail will use the POP access which was used  to set up on the old account to download every single message from the  old account to the new one. Since I've been A2A, in my view you could use the Add an account feature. This way you can easily switch between both the accounts and also keep track of any new incoming emails in both of them. To do this : Click on your username displayed on the right top corner. Click on Add an account. Sign to your second Gmail account.(Clicking on Add an account will open in a new window, so you need not be afraid of having to re-open your current Gmail account) Switch between the accounts as you wish. This lets you monitor both the accounts simultaneously and spares you the pain of forwarding all your emails to your new account and also avoids missing out on some important email that could have been sent to your older email account. However, it has a flip side. If you do sign out of any one of the Gmail accounts, you automatically get signed out of all your Gmail accounts. So you will have to repeat the above steps the next time you sign in. This could specifically be a problem if you regularly use a shared computer to access your account. But, if you are accessing your account from a personal computer, you could try checking Stay signed in while signing in. That way your browser stores the session cookies and you won't have to provide your username and password the next time you want to access your account.
