What are magnet/torrent links?

What types of links do you prefer to build when you need all DoFollow links? Why?

  • i just like to know what types of link you initially prefer to build for your clients for any link building campaign when your clients only need do-follow links . i am not asking for any types of no-follow links that comes from high authority sites like its self ..

  • Answer:

Seems a bit trivial to talk about 'dofollow' links in 2014. However, if I was in a position where I had to build ALL dofollow links, I would focus the majority of my effort on niche-specific business directory listings and guest blogging. Sure, there are still social bookmarks and comment engines that give dofollow links, but the effort likely won't match the impact. Good luck!

You shouldn't use any tactic that will build 100% dofollow links. Google wants you to attract links editorially, where you don't have control over who or how they link to you. A natural, editorial link means you don't have control over whether the link is dofollow or nofollow (but most will generally be dofollow). Focus on attracting editorial links via content and PR-based strategies.

I'm not an SEO expert, this question being an A2A (thanks ), but I have some general thoughts on link building: Don't say you are going to create "original content" with a few links. What does that even mean? You should be creating content with the sole purpose of dropping links. Aim to create GREAT content and add links where RELEVANT. If your piece is relevant and useful to readers, you've created something GREAT. There are some great directories and niche-marketing websites where you can share your links. However, the value of such sites contributing towards SEO are limited. They are great for community building and engagement with readers.

I guess SEO is not any more for customers who wish to dictate getting the type of links. Given that Google ranks websites more often on the semantic mention, brand\concept connections, focusing entirely on do-follow links is a path down the dark lane.

The best external links for me are do-follow links from highly relevant sites in the industry, that can actually drive visitors to our client site. We are usually very selective in link building, we only build links that we see truly quality and relevant. In many cases, we build relationship to the external site owners to get good link positions. This approach, together with no-follow, editorial links, will generate a balanced link building approach to a site that both generate the results and safe from Google view.
