How do I choose a mentor for my professional life?

Am I meant to be a software engineer, mentor, or someone else?

  • I am a Chemical Engineer form a premier institute in India.But I never enjoyed being Chemical Engineer(Didn't like it).So during my B-tech I used to every thing other than being a Chemical Engineer.I have done Photoshop, movie editing and VFX for college fests for some time.Later I learned game development for some time.I like Games very much  but I am not the best in developing them. Anyways I kept myself busy learning many new software and technologies all along my college life But I am not sure to choose a right career path. So at the end I realized that I am not good in art/Design to work for movies and games but like them and knows the workflow in both and also I learned to use many software used in game development and Motion Graphics. I can code well but I don't want to be a programmer. I always get nice and creative ideas.Some are improvements of existing ones some new out of the box ideas.For eg: an improvement(or extra feature) to facebook.For every Idea I get I do a lot of searching think a lot to improve it and I am always try to implement them. The ideas varies from Software/web-sites,Games hardware and Movies.Till date trying to implement Ideas I get I learned many(a lot) of technologies/Software like Computer Languages, Frameworks, Animation /Gamedevelopment tools etc.But I am not a pro in at least single one of them. I thought of building a team to work on the ideas.But I am always alone and I don't have friends(who is good at what's needed or at least have interest to learn). Presently I work in a an MNC as a software engineer(Just joined 2 months ago). But I don't like the work and technologies they use.The pay is also mediocre and also I am not happy with the work environment. At this point I need a career advice.What role would be good for a person like me? --Software Engineer(using my coding skills --Product Designer(Using my ability to think creative) --Mentor(Using my diverse knowledge across many industries -Teaching the technologies that I know and like) --any other?
