Is it possible to run a .NET 4.0 app in Linux with Wine support?

Its a windows component which provides some logical data to various tools( All tools are vc++ mfc). Some tools run on linux also, In that case my component needs to run on linux also. I know that it works with dot net 2.0 and 3.0 but want to know if dot net 4.0 can also be run

I don't know about running a .NET application using Wine. But yes you can use Mono. Mono supports .NET 4.5, 4.0, 3.0 and 2.0. Some components including Windows Presentation Foundation are not supported but mostly are supported. Mono is very reliable and yes you can trust it.
