How can I bring business to my company from potential manufacturers and companies willing to create a new product line of smartp

I am currently working on a similar project and can give a timeline over our last 7 months (I'm sure there a hundreds of routes but here is the one we are on) 1. submitted application for an accelerator in the Bay Area. This platform linked us to additional technical support, advisors relating to business development, legal, intellectual property, and marketing strategy 2. As mentioned in this thread, you have to prove people will buy it at a price that is profitable for you to scale up manufacturing.  Then protect this technology (hardware/software) from large incumbents who can wipe you with an iota of their RnD budget 3. Prove to VCs you can beat out competition, usually accomplished by having a stellar team (at least one or two people with a track record of success), and show them a working prototype. Make sure to have your IP provisional patents filed before this meeting or they'll kindly do it for you... And kick you out 4. Find a lab to ramp up production (preferably one that can do end-to-end manufacturing, design, testing etc) 5. Get to market ASAP because I guarantee someone out there is working on the same thing. Besides creating a prototype and a presentation of your work you need to do interviews/surveys that show there is demand for your product. Then you approach incubators, VC's etc.
