Why doesn't Google Docs search MS Word documents?

I find that MS Word documents added to my Google Docs account are not indexed and therefore searches are useless with them.

Answer:
You can search inside MS-Word documents in Google Docs. But I noticed sometimes searching doesn't work immediately after uploading a new document, it might take a few minutes for the document to get indexed.
