What is the best job in the field of space?

Finishing my Masters this year and taking an out of field job to tie me over and give me some breathing space away from academia. What should I do to keep on educating myself?

  • I will complete my Masters in Law come this September, and I'm likely to take a job which is not related to my research area/what I want to do in the future. I know there are lots of opportunities for me (evening classes, being close to university etc) but what would you suggest are the top things for me to do in the 12-24 months I may have? Language courses? Find some great volunteering opportunities?

  • Answer:

Cold call or email 10 people in your field of interest and ask to interview them or ask them out to coffee. Ask them good questions

Volunteering is terrific.  #1 advice is probably to ask every impressive person you meet (you define "impressive") 1) what they've learned that's interesting in the last 6 months and 2) where they learned it.
