What do people blog about?

What are the best ways to go about promoting and building a "Mom Blog"?  I have a blog that is doing "ok" I would say.  What do people look for in a mom blog?  What is the best way to promote and generate revenue for a "mom" blog (specifically)?

  One way could be to answer Mom questions on Quora and build a following here. That will drive people to your profile and then onto your blog. Other than that it's a bit difficult to offer useful advice without knowing anything about you or your blog. However, Google mom's blog or whatever your keyword is. Then go through the top 29 results and write down what is great about each of them. Then combine those thoughts into general statements. The next step is to score your blog out of 10 for each of those statements compared to the best blogs. That will tell you what to do to start with. There are lots of other ways of doing this but the first thing is to find out who your competition is and whether you are in fact doing OK.
