What are some of philanthropic UNICEF activities?

What pros/cons do you see stemming from the fact that children born henceforth will be able to dig up a lot of information about their parents' past activities via the internet ?

• Our generation was blessed with the power of social media and social networking. Even though in our teens and early 20s, a lot of us were probably as reckless and immature as generations before us, in terms of drinking, smoking, partying, going wild, etc to name just a few, what differs is that most of our activities/views are recorded in virtual snapshots in social media. Activities and views of theirs, which parents might not want kids to know at impressionable ages. Our parents could choose to not tell us and end it there, but our kids might be able to dig out and unearth such things on the internet. What pros/cons do you see? Should people leave active social networking at a certain age? Should people make a conscious effort to whitewash all possible traces of social media activity in the past, before childbirth?

  My first thoughts - God have mercy on these kids !!! If kids do stumble on information that they weren't suppose to then it may take a pshycological toll on them. Often times, they may not openly discuss what they saw or read, with their parents, and this may lead to a lot of misinformation and false judgements. The only solution that i see is, if parents could sit with their kids and discuss such issues, educate them and tell them that in their younger days they have done stuff that they aren't proud about; it will save the kid a lot of mental trauma that arises from discovering such content for themselves from information out there on the internet.
