What is next SEO thing to do after you install Google Analytics?
-
As I know, that there are many - which five onsite and five offsite would you suggest as the next most important ?
-
Answer:
First 5 onsite tasks: Get verified with Google Webmaster Tools, and address any issues Google has found. Choose which keywords you're going to target, and for which pages. Make your content as awesome for users as possible. Optimize your page titles for your selected keywords. Optimize the text of your content for your selected keywords. First 5 offsite tasks: Find about half a dozen quality directories relevant to your niche/location and submit your site. Choose about half a dozen high quality blogs, and one by one, approach them to write top notch guest blogs for them. Work to build up your audience on Twitter, Facebook, and Google+ (this will help you promote content later). Think of who you know that might be interested in linking to your site. Create a content marketing strategy.

I suggest to start with the basics. SEO has become a new "hot" word and many people are trying to dive in to quickly, and end up without a strong base. Here are the important things you should really develop before worrying too much about the more intricate and complicated aspects of SEO Onsite: 1. Produce content (a lot of content) that your readers will enjoy. Easy-to-read and beautiful pictures. When your readers enjoy reading what you post, they are going to become interactive and "share" which will boost your visibility enormously. 2. Stay focused - choose a family of related key-words, and then try to stick to these. If you blog about anything and everything your SEO will be horrible. 3. Rename all of the pictures that you put on the site with your keywords. This will boost SEO with barely any work. (and use a lot of high quality pictures to keep the audience engaged) 4. Create a solid internal linking structure. Linking is a very important aspect of SEO, so the first step is to make sure that your site has the right internal links for smooth navigation. 5. Don't overdo your keywords - if the reader can tell that you are cramming keywords into your text that is bad for everybody. First, the reader will not enjoy reading your content as much and is less likely to return, let alone share the information. Second - if google believes you are cramming keywords they may flag your site as spam and you will be moved to the very back of the search list. Offsite: 1. Link, Link, Link - try to develop partnerships with credible, authority blogs or websites in your domain and exchange links. External links are one of the most important factors for boosting SEO. 2. Develop relationships with your audience through social media - with social media, it is important to be true and develop relationships, unless you have the kind of site that doesn't prefer returning visitors. If you use social media to connect with your audience, they will be much more likely to be loyal to your site. 3. Get on Google + - Google + boosts your SEO - get interactive and start expanding your circles.

There is no singular, âcatch-allâ solution to your SEO issues. Rather, your business should take a holistic approach, centered on quality content, to improve your rankings. If you have the resources to hire an SEO expert, or the time to become one yourself, thatâs great, but obviously that is not feasible for all businesses. Here are a few simple, low/no-cost practices you can put into place to help your site increase traffic and sales. 1. Keep the Content Coming 2. Be Social 3. Donât get hung up on a single keyword More information on this matter youâll find here - http://www.nnc-services.com/blog/how-to-ramp-up-your-seo-even-if-you-arent-an-expert/

Sign up for Google Webmaster Tools, then use Google's keyword tool to find 'target keyword phrases'. Once you determine which phrases you would like to be on page 1 for, you will need to do MUCH onsite and offsite marketing to push those phrases to the top. With all of the Penguin/Panda updates (compliments of Google) SEO is a whole new game so be sure you do not read ANY books or posts on the subject prior to April 24th, 2012 as you may be using old tactics that will get you penalized. The last tool you will need is software to track your keyword rankings.

Focus on site- So based on your question, that already means you did a proper keyword search, and competition, and search volume. Title of your website (does this make sense, when typing in google.) You can do a cross comparison Website description: explaining what the website will be about Making sure a site map is installed. Submit your site to "google webmasters tool" which can give you immediate problems about your website/blog. Install a favicon- this help you in the eyes of the readers, saying your not new to blogging / website building. Off sites are exactly what it means, anything off site. 1. Start the process of link building for that particular keyword. 2. Figure out what an anchor text (which is your url link) 3. Using how use the "keyword" within the anchor text or what your linking to, which can be your blog or blog post and other areas. 4. Search Engine Optimization is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or web page in the Google Search Engineâs âorganicâ results. SEO is often about optimizing small parts of your website. When viewed individually, these changes might seem like incremental improvements, but when combined with other optimizations, they will have a significant impact on your siteâs user experience and performance in search results.
