Which is best computer engineering college in india?

I'm a computer engineering student in a 2nd/3rd tier engineering college in India. How can I decide what my research interests are?

And how to get a good research internship in order to publish a research paper? Asking my professors for help is not possible because we have inexperienced teachers (many have recently graduated from college) & they are not interested in research themselves.

Read books, the more you scale the depth of a subject the more you know whether it is a subject of your taste or not. Without knowing much about your subjects it will be impossible to tell. Secondly NEVER FOCUS ON GETTING A RESEARCH PAPER PUBLISHED - the only way to get the things you want is to acquire knowledge-RESEARCH PAPER WOULD COME OUT ON ITSELF. Regarding your teachers/professors : ever heard of EKLAVYA (the perfect student without a mentor)? The way of survival for you is decided by the factor how badly you want to excel! GOOD LUCK FOR GRE! :)
