What do I need to do to start a business in the counseling/therapy field?

First of all, you need a business model. What kind of service do you want to provide? What need does it meet? How do you plan to provide the service? How is this different from other services in the field? So write yourself a mission statement. See what you come up with. You want to be able to explain the purpose of your business in the time it takes for an elevator to rise ten floors in a building. After that, it's all details. Financing. Marketing. Space. Employees. Etc, etc. All that goes in the business plan. But first you want to concept. Then you can answer some of the other questions and figure out how to start the business.
