Why doesn't LinkedIn provide advanced editing features while editing your profile?

• Its really strange that Linkedin doesn't have good editing features to make your profile look better. Editing features such as bold, italics, underline, bullet points etc are still not present. More editing features can make your profile more readable and presentable.

  I do feel LinkedIn provides good editing features. You can add media, documents, presentations and add your resume to your LinkedIn profile. You also have a stream of updates coming into your feed which you can share in your profile. Bold, Italics, underlines are so old school. Moreover, LinkedIn is not a Job search portal, its a networking site where you can connect with professionals and people with similar professional interests and goals. Of course, you can add more features but then there comes a point when adding more just adds the noise and removes the simplicity and focus of a feature.
