How to download a webinar?

What is the best webinar platform for creating paid, audio participation enabled webinars?

  • For live video broadcast (or webcast) model, one way from presenter to audience, I like DaCast. But what if one needs the video presenter to be able to hear audience participants? (Note: not chat messages; audience-to-presenter video not required but audio, yes). 20-50 participants. Ideally the platform would: 1. Manage payment for and access to webinar. 2. Provide video player that works across mobile devices / browsers / OS. 3. Provide embeddable video player so webinar can be embedded on on given domain. 4. Auto-record presentation in standard format and allow download of file. 5. Ensure global streaming quality. 6. Be easy to setup and use for non-technical presenter / participants. 7. Not require a special plugin on audience side. That list taken all together is not reasonable perhaps, but I wanted to have the goal posts clear.

Hi there - I work at http://www.maestroconference.com and we enable thought leaders to lead interactive webinars (we call it Social Webinar) where people can collaborate on documents together, watch videos/browse sites together, and have engaging discussions on topics that matter. We currently do require a plugin if you want to do screenshare only and we don't have a mobile app yet, but Social Webinar does not require a plugin (it's our newer platform).  We have a few whitepapers on how to better engage your audience: http://maestroconference.com/whitepapers And one of those includes a comparison of a bunch of webinar options, pricing, features, etc. that may be helpful. You can also check out one of our free demos by signing up at http://www.maestroconference.com, and we have a 30 day free trial too!

You mention you need to accomplish seven things. While you have a lot of different webinar platforms that could achieve these, I think our platform Crowdcast could be the right fit for you needs. Here are my (admittedly biased) reasons why:1. Charge for access to the webinar. Crowdcast makes managing paid webinars simple. All you have to do is set a ticket price when you create your event.2. Provide a video player that works across browsers and operating systems.Crowdcast works great on Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox. (We’re still working on squashing some Safari bugs.) An iOS app is on the way.3. Provide embeddable video player so webinar can be embedded on a given domain.Yup – Crowdcast does this.4. Auto-record presentation in standard format and allow download of file. The replay is instantly available in the same location. Viewers can continue registering and even jump to the best moments in the video. Use the data & analytics to continuously improve. Plus, you can download your file in mp4 format.5. Ensure global streaming quality. The main factor in webinar quality is the speaker’s internet connection. That will also determine recording quality. However, each viewer will have a different streaming quality when live based on their personal internet connection. If the viewer’s connection is bad, the stream will gracefully degrade into an audio-only presentation.6. Be easy to setup and use for non-technical presenter / participants. This is the top reason to choose Crowdcast. We built Crowdcast with usability in mind, making it the simplest webinar platform for non-technical presenters. Attending is just as easy.7. Don’t require a special plugin or download for your viewers. No special plugins, no client downloads – your audience simply needs to visit your link to view the webinar right in their browserYour first broadcast is free, giving you a chance to see if Crowdcast is what you need.
