Is Columbia University better than UMass Amherst for an MS in computer science?

Is it better to goto university of toronto or university of british columbia or university of waterloo for higher education in computer science than doing it in india?

• i want to go for masters and phd in computer science and engineering (software engineering and database development to be specific). i am currently in my third year of graduation in an NIT of india(b.tech cse) with a gpa of ~8.5. i want to become a professor as a matter of fact in the field. i was thinking of going for university of Toronto or university of British Columbia or university of waterloo for this. though i am not sure how much feasible is it for me to be selected. also i wanted to know which one would be better of the three...

  All three are recognized as one of the top 10 in Canada.  You would not be sorry no matter which one you choose. You can feel free to make your choice based on other criteria.  For example, choose UBC because the weather is better.  Choose Waterloo because it is a smaller school and possibly less intimidating.  Choose Toronto because your uncle's second cousin lives there.
