How can I start my career in Computer Science?

As a new international grad student (I'm from China), studying the most employable area (Computer Science), how to start a career in US?

If I'm lucky enough to get an offer from a big company like Google or some small but competitive companies, what is better and why? And how about the company location, big city in west coast or in the middle of Colorado？
