What are the best ways to make a simple web browser?

I just want to know the complete working and programming of a web browser. How can we create a simple gui based web browser which can transfer html pages(not images if it make the code complex). So that i can feel the working of a web browser.

You should start with this, http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/internals/howbrowserswork/ . This wouldn't probably help you to code a web browser but you can understand how html pages are rendered. You would have to code the parser,rendering engine etc. yourself.
