  Installing apps in your smartphone is a matter of personal needs and personal preferences and likes.   Having said this, of course, there is a set of apps that is quite common to almost everyone.   This question has been asked tons of times and in almost every possible way for lots of Android smartphones, so, I guess the best approach is for you to search in threads like this ones (and there are many more; here in Quora and "abroad in the Network"): And those are just for starters in Quora:   Use SEARCH, within Quora, I just used "Android Apps" Also, search "Best Android apps" in Google. Last, but not least, the Google Play Store, has tabs that recommend the best free apps, the best paid apps.   And, of course each app rating, with stars, is an indication of how good/popula an app is...not a definitive ranking, of course, but a good guide.  Check on how many people have downloaded an app as well.
