What are all the job opportunity for BE ECE fresher?

What are some best ways to get a job through off-campus placements for an ECE student(Software or Core profile)?

• I am a 4th year B.Tech ECE student from one of the old IIT's. My cgpa is 6.9.I  haven't yet secured any job in my on-campus placements. I am thinking of  off-campus placements. How should I have to plan the next 2-3 months  and I have heard that it's very difficult to get placed through off-campus. Anybody have any ideas on how to get a good opportunity in a good company? Some people said that Linked-in is the place to start first to get contacts.

  The best thing to do is contacting your seniors whom you know well enough and who are placed in the companies you want to join. It is next to impossible to secure an off campus job as a fresher without any contact (I am speaking from my own experience here). If you have no such connections, the next option is to call the HR sections of the companies, mailing or using the job portal might be a lost cause in most cases.
