I'm a final semester ece graduate from a reputed engineering college currently in my final semester, How can I get placed into Product based software companies?

In campus placements, Though i got into final round of most major service based IT companies, couldn't convert them. be it luck or something, had really bad time. How can I now bounce back and grab best job preferably in product companies and skills that I need to develop. mention some technologies that can be learnt in short time(self study) and adds value?? PS: currently familiar with DBMS, sql along with C and C++.
