What's the quickest way to add a Q&A feature to an existing website with users?

  • We want to add Q&A feature to our existing website and would like to use any 3rd party software if that fits the bill. I've looked at other sites like Qhub and StackExchange but it seems that we can't integrate them as tightly as we'd like with our site. For instance, we would like our users to create a question about a location and the location information (including link, etc) has to be automatically included in the question. Also we'd like to view a user profile with Q&A history as well as other activity history in one place, i.e. user profile page. Quick Google search result isn't encouraging and what better way to ask this question than on Quora? ;-) Any information would be very much appreciated!     Hello, we can develop a function in askbot of co-displaying questions with the related information (in fact we will have some general support for this soon) and we support single sign-on. Askbot is open source - so you can host the site or you can work with our hosting. We are quite flexible.

We do have an API that would allow you to accomplish the "all activity in one place" requirement and you can also integrate your user authentication through the Single Sign On option we offer. Adding information about the user location automatically is not something that is included out of the box, but on the enterprise level anything is possible.
