What is your favorite Ipod Touch/iPhone app?

IOS App Store: Has Apple affirmed or denied that app downloads by iPod Touch devices influence the Apple App Store rankings for the iPhone app category?

• I have yet to review any conducive evidence on the web that confirms or denies whether an app download by an iPod Touch device is credited as an app download for the iPhone category. Implications of whether this is true or false impacts  both iPhone app rankings in the Apple App Store as well as budget planning for app promotions. Any insight here?

  You may google for any such evidence, however let me tell you based on my experience as a developer that any App download from itunes' store be it from iPod, iPad or iPhone is counted as a "Download' only and hence impacts the App rankings for sure! An iOS App, if downloaded on a compatible device (associated with a unique UDID and an itunes ID of the user) gives the buyer all the privileges to review/ rate the app and it counts as good as it would count when downloaded on iphone or ipad. A simple logic says - reviews given by users are based on their app store's ID and not device specific; and if some App is restricted for iPod it won't download per se; if it gets downloaded it counts!
