  In most cases, IP geolocation providers have worldwide datasets. Furthermore, since most large IP geolocation providers are based in the US, their Canadian data is fairly accurate. That said, depending on different factors, accuracy will fluctuate between countries, even within North America. MaxMind offers accuracy percentages per country at the city level: http://www.maxmind.com/en/city_accuracy Most other IP geolocation companies don't have these numbers, or else don't publish them. For instance, Neustar only publishes their US stats. I would say that, in most cases, the big three, Digital Element, MaxMind and Neustar will have accuracy rates in Canada that are consistent with their US rates, if not a bit lower. And, currently there aren't any Canada-based geolocation providers that I know of.
