Does Cloud computing scares you?

How 'computing' is related to 'cloud computing'?

• I want to know what is the 'computing' part in cloud computing?Dont give me the link ' Everywhere people saying the same thing by mentioning PaaS, SaaS, IaaS etc, in their ways.I already read who are the major cloud service providers. So please concentrate on 'computing' while answering.I also expect some papers as ref.

  I don't think it's anywhere defined what 'Computing' is w.r.t. Cloud Compute (It might be but haven't read it yet). But let me tell you from my perspective. And I've found it always right in my 6 Yrs of rigorous work in Cloud. Also as you mentioned you know all IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and you do not want to know all that stuff so I presume you need a crisp definition in simple words. So here you go.   Compute is primarily CPU & Memory i.e. Compute you need to get a job done.(could be any process you want to run on a box). Disk however is necessary of course as a storage for ample amount of data processing and even for a thin process to run but I don't think it's compute. It's Storage. It's arguable though, people might disagree. So Compute is CPU and Memory, and Storage is disk.   Hence Cloud Computing is Compute, Storage and Network as a Service, On Demand, Scalable, Highly manageable.   If you find this right and information which helps, do let me know I'll explain the Cloud Computing as well in such simple words :). If not let's wait for another folk to answer this.
