Can I Get An RSS Feed For Facebook?

Why aren't my friends' blog updates showing up in my Facebook News Feed?

  • Hello, I'm noticing that when people or pages I follow on Facebook post updates using programs such as RSS Graffiti, Twitter or Instagram, these updates do not show up in my News Feed. I would have to go to the walls of these people/pages in order to see them. I can't for the life of me figure out why this is the case. Is there some setting I need to alter to get updates via these programs to show up in my feed? Please help.

  • Answer:

One possible cause could be if you have turned off "Facebook Platform" in your Facebook settings, as that stops any Facebook apps from interacting with you or accessing your private data.It could also be caused by a browser add-on for Facebook? If you have any Facebook focused browser add-ons they may have filtering options to hide any posts made by Facebook apps/games such as the ones you mentioned. For example, the http://fbpurity.com browser add-on has an option to hide posts made by apps/games, though it also allows you to whitelist posts made by apps or games that you do want to see in your newsfeed. To learn how to use FB Purity, you need to read the http://user-guide.fbpurity.com on http://fbpurity.comOr if you are using a different add-on, you should read that add-on's documentation.
