Can I Get A Degree In Travel?

How does a waiter with a communication degree get into international sales or the travel industry?

• I'm almost 30 years old and think it's time to start a career. After a year of traveling throughout Central America, China, and Southeast Asia, I'm back and looking to get into software sales for the chance of international work in the future. I plan on working on a side-project travel agency in hopes that it will be my way out in the future. But maybe my main career can be fun and involve international time too. As a side-side project I am enrolled in travel writing and photo courses, and do those on my free time.

  Send in a job application? I had a university honours degree and had worked in the retail and hospitality industries for years. I wanted a change in career, and had loved travelling myself. I really enjoyed interacting with people, so thought I'd just send in an application to a Travel Agent on the off chance they were hiring. Within 2 weeks I had the job! You could ask yourself how to go about it for years, but why not just give it a go?!
