What is the best iOS app for free music without using the internet?
-
I have an iPod touch and would like to go running with music on. It can't use radio without wifi so I would like to know which is the best iPhone app without Internet connection. What I am trying to say is when I have wifi access, which app can I use to download and have the music stored on my iPod that would function later through the app even when not connected to the internet? It doesn't need to be saved on my iTunes account, it can function through the app offline. I had this app on an old iPod but cannot remember what it was called.

With beats music, you can save playlists when you are online for offline use. If you want beats music for free, then keep making 2 week trial accounts every 2 weeks. When you switch accounts, your playlists will be saved. Also, most songs are on beats music, and I love this app.

Hello, There is an app called Tubemusic, via which you can download some music videos (in video format) from youtube and listen to them while you are offline. Otherwise, to turn them into mp3, I couldn't have found anything yet. I'm sure you already know well about Spotify, it is also a cool app but unable to work offline and on iOS, contrary to its Windows version, you cannot listen whatever song of whatever artist, the best thing you can do is to look for and play the playlist of the artist and then to pray to God that your song isn't far ahead in the list :)

You can download app "iDownloader". This app provides you a browser through which you can browse any song and download the same. These songs are downloaded in the app and not in iTunes. Enjoy songs when you are not connected to internet.

If this hasn't already been said, Spotify is excellent for this, if you have a Premium account. I believe it is $11.99 these days, or so. Any playlist guy create, or subscribe to, can be selected for "Offline Mode". Whenever you have access to Wi-Fi and the app is open it will cache as much music as your device can hold. You can cache over the air, or select an option to only allow wifi updates. Caching only occurs on songs or playlists you mark as Available Offline. New songs will use Cellular or Wi-Fi. You can enable offline mode only, in settings which prevents any non-cached songs from playing. You can use the desktop app or iOS app to create or manage playlists, but select Offline Availability on the device you choose. Even desktop supports offline, so you can cache songs to your laptop as well.

What I understand is that you want to download music from the Internet and store it so that you can play it anywhere without Wi-fi. I have the perfect solution for you. There is an app named Documents 5 ( https://itunes.apple.com/in/app/documents-5-fast-pdf-reader/id364901807?mt=8) which I use to download songs on my Ipad. A short description of the app Read, Listen, View, Download, Annotate almost anything you want on your iPad and iPhone. Files, documents, music, videos, books, any content is at home in Documents by Readdle. You will just love this app.

Hello ! I personally use this Airtel app called Wynk and I really like it ! If you are an Airtel user then, you can get the net pack with Free Wynk for a month, it allows you to download unlimited songs, which you can hear offline ! But its on a monthly basis, you subcribe every month, if you buy a net pack with free Wynk every month, like I do, then nothing like it ! I keep listening with wifi and 3g data off....download and keep listening ! :)

I really comes down to where do you want to obtain your music... In general I think the built-in music app is really good. However, you need to either load the music to a computer first, or use strictly iTunes Store to buy it. Spotify, Rdio and other streaming services offer offline listening for subscribed customers. This seems to be the most convenient option if you listen to a lot of different records that you want to keep in rotation. I guess there are also many different apps that let you download music from "other" sources as well, but they always seemed very bad at getting the user interface right, so it might be worth to go with a legal way to listen to music!
