What should I teach my preschool kid?

What and how would you teach 3 important lessons to a kid?

  • Bonus: If you could also explain "When would you teach those lessons"

  • Answer:

Each lesson of life is as important as the one before or after it. And most lessons must be approached with 'foreknowledge', that is in the right order for the individual. Try to teach a two year old to properly use a knife and fork.  Not only is he/she not in ownership of the necessary motor skills, but he/she simply has no concept to the value or necessity of the task, and therefore little motivation beyond over-compelling parents.  Both end up totally frustrated. Also, few of life's lessons are learned once and for all.  Most are learned at a 'beginner's' level and further developed as growth and understanding progress. Teach a child to be honest.  Then tell them there is no Santa Claus.  Teach a teen how to drive.  Then give him the car keys. Teach a young adult how to manage a financial investment.  Then explain a stock market crash to him.  We can only guide and trust life to teach. And pray a lot.
