Have a look: $statusesAndComments = StatusesModel::with( array('comments' => function($query) { $query->where('comments.userId', '=', $userId); }) )->where('pageId', '=', $pageData->pageId)->get(); I need to get this working, it's quite urgent Thanks in advance

Answer:
I got it ... It's $statusesAndComments = StatusesModel::with( array('comments' => function($query) use ($userId) { $query->where('comments.userId', '=', $userId); }) )->where('pageId', '=', $pageData->pageId)->get();
