How To Access Facebook From School With Websites?

What are the ways to access Facebook when Facebook and all proxies are blocked?

  • OK, Facebook is blocked from my school, and all proxy websites are blocked too. We can't setup VPN/tor kinda stuff because we don't have admin privileges on our computers. Is there a good way to access Facebook?

  • Answer:

Try Google Translate to unlock proxy websites and use the website to browse Facebook. Go to http://translate.google.com/ 1. Enter the url for a proxy site in From field, eg: http://blockedsiteaccess.com/ or http://hidemyass.com and translate it to another language, say Spanish. (try different languages) 2. Click on the link translated in the "To" field to view the translated web page. 3. Use the translated web page of your proxy site to browse Facebook. Note: Facebook might report suspicious access issues, just continue. If this does not work, try using opera mini simulator at http://www.opera.com/developer/opera-mini-simulator to view mobile version of Facebook.

If you use an email account on your school computers, use Faceomail and access Facebook from your email account. First go to http://www.faceonmail.com from your home computer and create an account there. They will give you a random email address - write it down in a safe place. When you are in school, open your email account and send "home" (without quotes) to that email address. You will get an interactive (mailto: refs) Facebook on your inbox as the reply.
