How wise is it to add your resume on job hunting sites in India while being employed?

  I think there is certain merit in adding your resume to the huge database of CVs present with job portals because there are thousands of recruitment agents who are looking for the most suitable candidate to fill the positions they have got from companies. Since its free, there really is no harm. However, I wouldn't say that it is the only thing you should do as it is more of a luck game rather than a sure shot way of getting hired. A better way would probably be through a job referral.
